ALOSTAZ provides foundation waterproofing services across the UAE, including Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We review the site condition and construction stage before defining the preparation, waterproofing system and associated work.
Start with the source of moisture
Damp patches do not identify the source on their own. Water may be associated with surrounding ground, drainage or leaking pipework. The assessment considers accessible surfaces, joints and service penetrations before a repair scope is proposed. Waterproofing is not a substitute for a qualified assessment of structural defects.
New construction and existing buildings
On new projects, waterproofing and its protection should be coordinated with subsequent construction and backfilling. For an existing building, access and site safety affect the available options. Excavation or exposing foundations should not be assumed to be necessary or suitable before the relevant site conditions are reviewed.
What the quotation should explain
The agreed scope should identify the areas included, substrate preparation, treatment of relevant details, the proposed system, protection requirements and the checks to be completed. Excavation, backfilling and reinstatement are separate items unless explicitly included. Materials, timing and price are confirmed after the condition and access requirements have been assessed.
Prepare for a site review
Share the emirate and area, whether the building is new or occupied, photographs of affected areas and any available drawings or previous repair information. These details help prepare the review but cannot replace an inspection when one is needed.
